     Lent is a 40-day period which comes before Easter Sunday in the Christian calendar. Beginning on Ash Wednesday, the Lenten season is a time for reflection, prayer, and penance. It a season where Christians remember Jesus Christ's sacrifice. It is marked by fasting from both food and festivities.                     This month, March, is known as the National Women’s Month. The National Women’s Month is an annual event that highlights the contributions of women in history and contemporary issues. It is a month-long celebration remembering the achievements and appreciating the triumphs various women have achieved. This month is also an opportunity to bring up different issues faced by women, and it is also a means to furthermore promote women empowerment.                     The theme for the National Women’s Month is, “WE Make CHANGE Work for Women”. 2nd Quarter Reflection

          After a few weeks, another quarter has quickly passed. This quarter we mostly focused on learning html tags and how to use it. We started from the basics such as how to start an html file. I learned about the usage of angle brackets. And the different attributes and elements of different tags. I learned how to properly compose an html file and I practiced through the various activities that were assigned for us to do. While we learned about html, we also actively updated our Blog Accounts by writing about various topics.           This quarter the lessons were fairly easy for me. Learning how to properly use the tags and when to necessarily use it were a little confusing, but I managed to properly make my html files. Sometimes the files wouldn’t work or it won’t open properly. But aside from that, I did not encounter that much challenges and difficulties.            The month of January is one of the most important months for Vigan City as it celebrates the Kannawidan Festival. The Kannawidan is one of the biggest Fiestas celebrated not just in the city, but in the whole province. Trade fairs, Street Dance Competitions, Choir Contests, and other events are part of the big celebration. During the Festival a lot of people usually join and participate, whether they are contestants in certain competitions, vendors in the trade fair, tourists, or even locals.
