A Better Me in 2021

After what seemed like ages, another year has passed. Although 2020 was a long and grueling year, it was also memorable and very eventful. A lot happened, and a lot has changed. A pandemic took over the whole world, many people have passed, big movements and various important events had taken place during the past year. It was exhausting to say the least, but as the new year has rolled in, it can be a chance to start anew, a chance to improve and to hope that this year will be better than the last.

The phrase “New Year, New Me” has always been a common saying when the new year starts. Although it is used and known by many, the meaning behind this can vary. Most of the time, people use it as a new year’s resolution with the means to change themselves. For some, it can mean to start fresh. It can also mean a new beginning. And sometimes it can also mean a time to heal and to be happy. This year, instead of completely changing myself, I opted to grow as a better person. I will strive to spend the year with no regrets. I will try out different things, and start small goals in order to improve my daily life. I will focus on improving my overall well-being and health. By achieving these goals in 2021, I can carry out the famous saying “New Year, New Me”.

Whenever the new year starts, we always look forward to the different things that may happen. We welcome the new challenges, and we accept upcoming changes. This goes for the saying, “New Year, New Me”. We give ourselves different goals and challenges to change and improve for the better. Some may be open to new opportunities. Some may have taken this as a time to give and take second chances. And some may have decided to live the new year the same way they did with the last.
