National Women’s Month in March

        

        This month, March, is known as the National Women’s Month. The National Women’s Month is an annual event that highlights the contributions of women in history and contemporary issues. It is a month-long celebration remembering the achievements and appreciating the triumphs various women have achieved. This month is also an opportunity to bring up different issues faced by women, and it is also a means to furthermore promote women empowerment.
        
        The theme for the National Women’s Month is, “WE Make CHANGE Work for Women”. This theme will be used from 2017-2022. The theme highlights the achievements of women as they play a big role in change and development. Though equality towards women has certainly changed for the better, there are still various issues and problems until this day. Differences in treatment, inequal rights, and the still ongoing problems of misogyny towards women, has opted us to strive for the better. By pushing forward and leading change, we can provide a better future for ourselves, and for the upcoming generations. This year’s theme is, “Juana Laban sa Pandemya; Kaya!”. This year’s theme highlights the battleship of women against the pandemic and it also discusses the different issues that came up amidst the pandemic. Various front liners, doctors, nurses, workers, and others have been working hard during the pandemic, so in this year’s theme, appreciation is shown towards theses hardworking people. This year’s National Women’s Month was celebrated through various activities that were mostly held online due to Covid-19.
        
Just like last year, the National Women’s Month was celebrated with great anticipation and delight. However, this year is a little different, due to the virus, most events are held online through various streaming platforms and online applications. Regardless of the change, the most important thing is to celebrate, remember, and acknowledge all the women all over the world, their achievements, and the changes that they will bring upon in the future.

My 3rd Quarter Reflection

     This quarter, I have yet again learned a lot of new things. I have learned various things such as the writing of Community-based projects and the use of sitemaps. As I have learned about Community-based projects and had the chance to write one, I have learned and discovered a lot of things from my community. I have also learned about sitemaps and its use and importance.      Though the whole quarter passed by smoothly, I have encountered only a few problems and minor inconveniences. Small problems such as unstable internet connection has abrupted my time studying. There were also a few moments wherein I had difficulty understanding a few of the concepts in the modules. However, I got past the minor problems without much trouble. I compromised during the inconveniences and finished the quarter without much problem.      Moving forward, I will complete the next and last quarter with much effort.      As the world keeps progressing, mother earth is left dying. The continuous forward in technology puts our environment in a critical state. The ongoing acts of building new infrastructures and factories ruin mother nature and its ecosystem. And the never-ending ignorance of people will inevitably kill earth. Due to these, it is important to be mindful of our environment. Humans aren’t the only living-beings on earth.
