Mother’s Day in Every Way

Mother’s Day is a special day celebrated on the second Sunday of May to honor motherhood. It is a special occasion that brings the sentiment of a mother’s love and care. It is held to appreciate the sacrifices and hardships faced by a mother in raising children, and taking care of a family. Mothers are what we call “Ilaw ng tahanan” meaning light of the house. They have great presence and have a very important role in the family. Without them, nothing would be the same.

Mother’s Day is celebrated in different ways and in different days all around the world. Some countries celebrate it earlier, while some countries hold the celebration much later. However, most countries celebrate it on the second Sunday of May. Mother’s Day can be celebrated in various ways. Many gift their mothers with a fresh bouquet of flowers. Some gift them with special crafts and items. And some gift them with objects that hold a sentimental value for the mother.

Mothers play a big role in the family. They are the pillar that keeps the family intact. They take care of everyone. And shower their partner and children with all the love and support they can give. Being a mother is certainly not easy. They are the strongest people on earth and very much deserve the celebration held on the second Sunday of May.
