 Why you should be participating in Earthquake drills.

Different kinds of disasters happening is not a big surprise. But the effects that these disasters have and can cause is very disheartening. One of the most unpredictable natural disasters are earthquakes. Because it is unforeseeable, it can cause a lot of damage. Collapsed buildings, broken roads, people trapped under debris, and loss of lives are a few of the outcomes of an earthquake. Although we have no control over these events, we can always have different ways in order to at least lessen the damage that it can cause. It is important that we understand the importance of preparing for these kinds of disasters.

Earthquake drills are one of the most effective ways to be prepared for earthquakes. It helps us practice what we’re supposed to do incase it happens. It helps us understand the basic steps like the Drop, Cover and Hold. It teaches us the do’s and don’ts during an earthquake takes place. And it broadens our knowledge on what we are supposed to do. But unfortunately, there are a few people that do not understand the importance of earthquake drills. It is important that we participate in these kinds of programs and events because it helps us practice our preparedness in the midst of an earthquake. Earthquakes are of the most unpredictable. We will never know when it might happen. But we can avoid the bad effects and damages by participating in earthquake drills.

          Earthquakes are unpredictable and unavoidable. But we can prevent its bad outcomes by being prepared and educated. With earthquake drills we are able to take action and avoid being in a state of panic if ever an earthquake happens. We can be knowledgeable of what to do and we could be of great help to others. So please keep in mind of what you can do and how you can help others by participating in earthquake drills.
