Global Warming and Climate Change: Raising Awareness and Leading Change

        As the world keeps progressing, people continue to discover and make new things to make our lives easier. New products are made to satisfy our human wants and needs. Our technology keeps on improving. And Different kinds of machineries come out each day. We keep making new things in order to refine our lives, but at what cost? Instead of finding ways to make our lives easier, we instead keep on finding ways to continue ruining Mother Earth. Our actions have caused a few of the most important environmental issues today; Global Warming and Climate Change. Although we cannot fully stop Global Warming and Climate Change overnight, we can lessen its effects and slow the rate of Global Warming by doing different things and by working together.

            There are many ways in order to lessen Global Warming and Climate Change. One of the most helpful ways is by raising awareness. But how exactly can I raise awareness? Social Media Sites are very big among people these days. By creating and sharing posts about Global Warming and Climate Change, more people can be more aware about these topics. Practicing simple tasks such as using bicycles instead of cars, reducing waste, using your own shopping bag instead of plastic bags, and following the Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, can also help in slowing down the rate of Global Warming. Although Solar Panels are a bit pricey, using it is very helpful for the environment. Encouraging others to spread awareness is helpful. And by putting these things into action, it can help influence others to start doing the same thing.

“The earth will not continue to offer its harvest, except with faithful stewardship. We cannot say we love the land and then take steps to destroy it for use by future generations.” Advocating for our environment is very important. As stewards of God’s Creation, it is our duty to protect and take care of our environment. By simply raising awareness about Global Warming and Climate Change, we can slowly heal and protect Mother Earth.
